Should There Be Restrictions Made on Digital Advertising?
Upon first hearing that California came up with a unique idea that would help with the state’s expanding economic woes; I must say I was truly intrigued. What great plan could possibly generate enough revenue to make a dent in a $19+ billion dollar deficit?

Interesting…mobile digital advertising on license plates. Considering that more than 60 percent of Americans make impulse purchases while driving home from work, and that the average consumer spends up to 14 hours per week in their vehicle…I can see where California just might be on to something here. Of course you have pros and cons to everything in life, this being no exception. Personally my biggest con would be the safety issue. I have been in more than a few close calls due to my inability to “fully appreciate” a billboard message and at the same time notice that traffic has come to a complete stop in front of me. I could see where multiple little billboards might distract this normally very good driver. With that said, I do like the idea of emergency alerts almost immediately being broadcast on a large scale. That, in my humble opinion, would be the biggest pro. Thoughts?
